Here are my views on your answers to the question:
Do you take a multivitamin?
Yes, I take Centrum
If you are taking any mass market vitamin supplement that's hard and brightly colored you tend to get an upset stomach, and this comes from the synthetic (man made version) vitamins plus all the colors and dyes added that are not absorbing properly. So my question is, what do you pay money for a pill that makes you uncomfortable and that you barely get any nutrients from?
I eat healthy enough I get all my vitamins from food
1. A multivitamin is not just a vitamin, it also contain minerals that feed your body all kinds of goodness. You need high quality vitamins and minerals everyday, your body craves them.
2. Food does not contain nearly the vitamins and minerals you think they do. The soil and the way most food are prepared are lacking the nutrients you think your getting. And if that's not enough, it takes hundreds of pounds of food to actually get the same nutrients in a tiny capsule or tablet. So I'm sorry, your food is not doing the job on it's own.
I take all my vitamins separately
I applaud your effort, yet I highly doubt your taking everything that is inside a multi. Next, multivitamins are in ratios that are balanced for proper absorption. If you take to much of a particular nutrient it off sets all the others. So if you do take things separately, please take a multi to keep a balance in your body.
I'm over 50, I don't want that one I want one designed for older people.
Most gender and age specific multi's are designed with certain vitamins and minerals in different ratios for genders and age. Yet I don't believe they are always needed, unless they are therapeutic, I mean therapeutic in the sense that they treat hormones in women or protect the prostate in men. Nutrition House has multivitamins that do this, and for what they do they are fantastic if you take the recommended 4 caps per day.

The links above will show you two of the top multivitamins for health and hormones that we carry. I love these yet I only suggest them to certain people. I always suggest you supplement with your different nutrients like calcium and selenium and anything else as you age along with a multivitamin. Don't think a multi does it on it's own, very few do. The ones above are very good and do the trick quite well.
So Shane, what do you suggest?
I suggest an all natural multi, one that has everything in it, that's easy to swallow. A multivitamin should be something you take once or twice a day. It will give you everything you need to get you through a day. We don't always eat the way we should so we must ensure to get our nutrients, right? I'm sure you agree with that.
A multi is my must in everybody's supplement routine so go to a health food store a get one. It's up to you whether you want one you take 2 tabs a day, 4 caps a day I've even seen an 8 cap a day. I personally find it easier to take one or two, yet the choice is yours.
Stay motivated
Shane C.
