Energize your morning shake

Have you been skipping breakfast?

I think if you've been reading this blog you know the importance of a good healthy breakfast but with our stressful schedules we often forget the most important meal of the day.  A good breakfast get your metabolism ready for the long day ahead.
For many years I've used basic protein shakes to get me going, a scoop of whey powder in some milk or juice and throw some fruit in it.  I always felt there was something missing (working in the supplement industry you always feel you can take more).  And the other day I found the missing ingredient to add to my shake.

I received an order and cut the box open pulling out a shipment of Spirulina, I always wanted to try it but never did.  A company I enjoy called Prairie Naturals just recently came out with there own Spirulina so I decided it was time to give it a try.
I was a little hesitant to add it in my shake, since it is seaweed..lol..yummy. I added it  to a shake wasn't bad at all.  I add one scoop of Spirulina and my energy levels increased, I noticed after about 5 days it must be from the Vitamin B12 found in Spirulina. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it make me a little more regular, if you know what I mean.
Adding a green supplement to your routine will boost energy, detox your system and kick start your immune system so it's well worth adding it to your diet first thing in the morning.  One scoop gets me about 2 servings of vegetables which I need to fit into my day anyway so why not do it with breakfast.

So if you want to try an amazing supplement to your morning shake, try Spirulina by Prairie Naturals.  Here is the morning shake I've been having the last couple of weeks, give it a try:

8 ounces of Apple juice
1/2 cup crushed ice
one scoop vanilla whey powder
scoop of Spirulina by Prairie Naturals
Powdered Orac by Prairie Naturals
half a cup of blueberries

Give it a try and in 3-5 days you'll be zooming around the office like a crazy person (In a good way)

Stay motivated
Shane C.
