Centrum Scam

Centrum Scam

“No I don’t need any Multi’s, I use CENTRUM?”

In a health food store we cringe when we hear a customer talk about a one a day multi vitamin that they purchased in a drug store or grocery store. If a multi vitamin has commercials on television is usually a fair warning that a company has put more money into their marketing campaign than into the multivitamin ingredients themselves.

If you follow my videos I talked about paying for absorption (Click here to watch the video) and in the multivitamin world absorption is key.  A major company will list a group a vitamins and minerals on the side of a bottle fooling you the consumer into thinking you will be getting a healthy dose of vitamins throughout your body by swallowing one of their pills.  Well have I got bad news for you, usually with CENTRUM, ONE-A-DAY and products like FLINTSON vitamins you simply swallow a pill with little chance of absorbing the nutrients listed on the side of the bottle.

Which kind of multivitamin should I get?

Want to know the difference between an all natural muti and a major advertised multi?  The difference is one is natural and the other synthetic.  Want I mean by this is your major brand multi (synthetic) are a man made version of an all natural product and natural source coms from…well you guessed it NATURAL SOURCES.  The body can recognize the natural versions, and when they are recognized the body can absorb it.

Advertisers sucker you in!

We are suckers for advertising even myself, yet we must learn that supplements advertised on television and what is good for us is 2 totally different issues.  The major brands like CENTRUM say stuff like contains everything from a to zinc (they are telling the truth) but you do NOT get those nutrients digested in you body.  It’s like if I told you a large rock contained water, you could touch it, lick it and lie on it all day but you will still be thirsty by the end of the day because the water is still inside the rock…hope that made a bit of sense.

What to buy when you walk in the health store

Next time you walk in the health food store and you see a multi with a price tag of $40 or more telling you to take 2-8 capsules per day don’t think of it as a pain but as nutrients that will help you prevent diseases, gain more energy and feel on top of your game.  The more you absorb the better you feel.

In the blog entries to come I want a little help from you the readers, what do you want to read about?  Confused about certain supplements?  Let me know by leaving comments below so I can help you make the right purchases so you can fell 100% confident in your buying decisions.

Stay healthy and stay motivated
